Eclipse IDE question -- is there a way to JUST OPEN A FILE!?!

Using Eclipse IDE, I just want to open a file, WITHOUT adding it to a project. It's often helpful when looking at someone else's code that I'm not using for my own project, debuging co-workers stuff and such.

Any way do do this? Just a simple file -> open???
 
No .... which is why I still have TextPad registered with all my .java files. Sometimes eclipse is really just overkill
