Just recently I have been experiencing a problem with my sound echoing. WHen I play mp3's and stuff I can't tell if its doing it but I don't think so. BUt last time I was playing a dvd on when a person was talking it would be echoing, very annoying. Same with clicks in internet explorer. Anyone have any ideas would be great thanks.

For Creative SB Live check the Audio HQ thing and look for reverb, for Santa Cruz check the Control Panel for it and turn off reverb. Not sure about Creative Audigy... maybe the same as Live.

Had same problem like that once.... it just turned on.... all on its own...

I have a soundblast Audigy gamer or whatever. The weird thing is I didn't do anything to my computer to make this happen. The other weird thing is it doesn't do it for every sound. I went into my sound menu and was playing my windows sounds and none of them echoed but then I loaded up IE and my clicks were echoing.

Edit: I looked around for the reverb and it is turned off.

Headphones or speakers?
The reason I ask is because after a storm, my speakers encountered that same echo problem... I figured it was specifically my speakers by trying out a pair of headphones I had... Everything worked fine with my headphones..
