I'm running Adaptec ECDC 4.02e on a newly setup Win2k box, with a Plextor 8/20 CD-R drive (1.08 FW).
I've got it set to verify my data disks after burning. However, I've noticed that ECDC doesn't want to verify the new disks. It appears that the system or SW isn't automatically recognizing the newly burned disk unless I eject it and reload it again. On my previous NT4 setup with this same setup, the system would update just fine and the disk would get verified after it was burned.
Could this have something to do with the Win2k autoinsert notification? I've looked at the reg settings, and they seem to be alright (cdrom/autoinsert is enabled). Does anyone know of another setting anywhere that might be inhibiting immediate recognition of the disc, and hindering disc verification, either in Win2k or in ECDC?
Thanks in advance--
john
