ECCp Graphics Needed

Edit: Scroll down and look at the graphics done so far. Please post any ideas or comments.

I need a couple of graphics for an ECCp client installer I'm working on. The installer is using the modern wizard style (Example). One graphic needs to be a 55x55 icon-like image. The other needs to be 164x314 image like the one in the example. They both need to be 16 colors. An optional program icon might be nice too. I'm currently using the favicon from the TA site.

And for those of you that might be wondering, the installer will have a program that runs during install for entering the user info and setting the client options. It also uses the optimized GUI client instead of the official one. This whole thing is intended for people who just want the basics quickly.

I made an installer about 1 year ago using this graphic. It's a different size since I used the freeware program GP-Installer to make the installation.

TeAm graphic

It also had a separate app (written in Delphi) that asked for the user info (but no client options). I lost the installer when @Home went under and never rebuilt it...

Ypu can use the TeAm logo with this logo embedded into it:

I'll see what I can do in Photoshop for ya. BTW, why does it have to be 16 colors? 256 colors is about the minimum that you'll ever need to design for, and you can do a lot more with that many.

Ok, here's the 164x314 pixel one. It's (hopefully) a little better looking than the other one. If you've got complaints / suggestions on either of my images, let me know, and tomorrow afternoon I'll see what I can do (sorry, I'm not going to be around any more tonight - gotta sleep sometime). 😉

I just checked again. The installer software can use higher color depths. It just doesn't do palette changes for machines running in 8-bit mode.

Thanks for all the graphics linked so far. I haven't seen anything I like yet but they have given me some ideas to play with.

I've uploaded what I've done so far. The installer is at http://splicedcollective.org/TA-ECCp-Installer.exe Feel free to test it.

For the graphics, I really do like the blue look. I made a blue version of jliechty's graphic and added a blued ECCp icon. Although, I've got an image I'd like to see in my head right now. It's based on the proposed new logos. In particular, the red one, except some of the hexagon are floating away from the group and one of them has the ECCp icon on it. And of course, the entire image is blue, although a full color graphic might work.

You can download both PSD's if you switch the extension from .gif to .psd
Forget people who keep themselves stuck in the dark ages with 8 bit color modes and unoptomized palettes; Those are some excellent pics, nagger! Much better than anything I could make. 😱 😉

Seeing what's been done so far, screw 16 colors and the color blue. Anyway, I've made some screenshots with the fresh logos. These were taken with the Windows default color scheme.

http://splicedcollective.org/Installer1.png The red logo with the ECCp logo. Everything rotated 90 degrees
http://splicedcollective.org/Installer2.png nagger's image2
http://splicedcollective.org/Installer3.png nagger's image1
http://splicedcollective.org/Installer4.png The small icon shown during the rest of the install. A red hexagon with the ECCp icon in the middle. I can make it orange if more people like the orange logo.

Keep the ideas and comments coming.

Nagger's image 1 (orange one) with an orange background for the hexagon i think would look sweeet! 🙂

Now to just get something like this for SetiDriver/Seti! 🙂
