Could you please copy and paste the first two lines of your eccinfo file?
Example:
597790787456
1094

The first line is the total iterations your client has done to date, and the second line is the total DPs found to date. The ratio of these two lines is 546,426,680. I'm trying to determine empirically the expected number of iterations per DP. If you just post your two numbers for one (or more) of your clients, I'll do the math and post the results back here.

Just a comment---the number you get from this is only reliable if all DP's involved have been calculated with the same client.

So far the iterations per DP compute to 537,546,622.

Confused, that first machine of yours is overdue for some DPs, 2 or 3 of them in fact. That just goes to show the "random" nature of things.

Mere Mortal, I'm interested in your comment. Would you please elaborate? Either here or PM me if you prefer.

Sorry Joe O, I misread your thread while at work today. Disregard my previous remark.

It should average out over the long run to 2^29, and it comes pretty close. Of course, there being 2^109 points, we will only get a statistically small sample here.

Here is more longer timestretch data for you:

Chaotic42,
Your numbers compute to 524,643,805 which is lower than the others reported here, but not the lowest I've seen which is 498,199,617.
Are you running 2 instances of the client on your dual, or the dual aware client? As nice as the SMP client is, running 2 optimized clients from 2 different directories gives you more iterations/sec and hence more DPs.

MereMortal, your numbers (and Chaotics) have swung us to 535,643,628 which is on the other side of 2^29.
