ECC Registered DIMMS same as standard DIMMS?

I bought an old an old ASUS K7V KX133 mobo yesterday with a Athlon 750 which takes PC100/PC133 DIMMS.

My local supplier has PC133 ECC Registered DIMMS for about 3/4 of the price as NON ECC DIMMs. Am I right in thinking that the machine will run fine with these ECC DIMMs? (I believe there is a slight performance hit which doesn't bother me).

Thanks for any input.

Registered DIMM is kinda high end type. It's intended to be used in servers since it has ECC and registered. Normally, it's more expensive than regular ones.
IT CANNOT BE USED IN CONJUNCTION WITH REGULAR (non buffered) and ECC DIMM.
I use them in my KT133A just fine although its features (ECC, registered) are disabled due to the limitation of KT133A (for AMD CPU). ECC featured is supported in Via 694 chipset (for Intel CPU).
I believe all Intel chipsets fully support registered DIMM.

If it's cheaper than standard DIMM, I think you should buy it. But keep in mind that you cannot mix it with the standard. Your KX133 will support it.
