ECC or not?

Is there any reason NOT to use ECC ram? I've got a BE6-II and need a 256 stick and most of the offers I've had are ECC, is this bad?

ECC wil slow down you ram acces time only use ECC on servers

Dark is correct. ECC is also more expensive/

3-3-3 means CAS 3, and RAS 3, and something else three

I would recommend getting Non - ECC, PC133, CAS 2

RGN- ECC doesnt have to do with the CAS rating

I would get non-ecc if you can, but from what I have seen most 256mb single sticks are ecc since they are mostly used in servers where they want to pack in as much ram as possible.
