ECC Memory on non-ECC mobo

If I put a stick of ECC DDR memory in my motherboard that does not support ECC, will the machine still boot and be stable? Or do I need to go out and buy some non-ECC DDR? Thanks!

It should work. If it boots it will be as stable as a non-ECC chip.

You should have no problem. It will act like a non-ECC stick though.
