I came across 2GB of ECC memory for free and I want to use it on a motherboard that doesn't support ECC. I realize I wouldn't have the added benefit of ECC, but would it work as non-ECC RAM or would it fry the motherboard or he RAM???
I don't think there will be a problem. You may want to post what type of motherboard/ram you're talking about so someone smarter then me can confirm this.
