ebooks: Anyone use 'em?

So I got a Palm T|X today and I'm happy with it so far. I'd like to get some ebooks, but the copy of Wuthering Heights that came with it for free isn't exactly my taste. That and they forced me to read it in my last year of high school. Anyways, I want to get some ebooks and need some info on where I can get them. So far I've found sites with links to sites with links etc. I would like some links to free ebook sites, and maybe a link to a good site that has the popular mainstream ebooks as well (don't mind paying for these).

Good source. Try some Mark Twain other than the usual Finn & Sawyer.

For SF & fantasy, Baen.com has a nice free library of excellent work from David Drake, David Weber, and many others.

Project Gutenberg FTW! :cookie:

I just scored a GBA movie player (basically a CF adapter in GBA cartridge form) mainly for its secondary eBook capabilities. 🙂 Much more convenient than pulling out a whole laptop for flights.

Yeah I found Project Gutenberg before, but hadn't really gone through it. I've got quite a few of the classics already downloaded. Looking for some Steinbeck still though.

Okay, so I've got some .txt and .html files. Can anyone recommend a free ebook compiling program so I can place bookmarks etc with the ereader that comes with my palm?
