ebook readers and tablets inspired by DS9 and voyager

Most of us have probably watched that video 'how star trek changed the world'... well I just had a realization mere moments ago (if you all have long ago, sorry I live a solitary life)...
The ebook readers (and tablets) look and seem to work a whole lot like the PADDs from st:ds9 and st:voy.

Seriously... wow.

Many people have said that the newer star treks never inspired anything like the old ones did... I point to this case-in-point that they did, many of us just have not realized it yet.

2001 A Space Odyssey had them too. Space: 1999 had hand-held TV devices. Trek TOS had the tricorder and the daily report tablet Kirk signed ....
