ebook reader for tablet with text-to-speech?

Does the tablet apps for either Kindle or Nook allow TTS? I have Galaxy Tab and Transformer, both with Android 4.0.

not by default it wont, but you enable your device's TTS then it might, just trying to find out if anyone here has any experience with it...

might want to try over at mobile devices and gadgets. I can't think of how you can make it work as you suggested.

well, here's the deal, I need to read 3 books, would really prefer to hear them rather than read. They are available on both Kindle and Nook but not on audible, what are my options?

no audiobook option like CDs or DVDs? I am assuming they are DRMed books? if not, these apps can do tts from epubs

I don't have personal experience, but FBReader is my preferred reader for normal reading.

Unless you're buying an actual audiobook, I would not rely on a device's TTS for reading a book to you. No tone, robotic mono voice, etc. It's the worst way to read a book IMHO.
