Hello,
I have a tutorial that I wrote that I would like to create an eBook from. I would like to distribute this on CD-ROM. The issue I am trying to solve is that I do not want this book to be printed more than once. In addition, I would like to make it expire in x amount of days from the date it was first used. I did a google search on this and got no results. Does anyone know of some software where this is possible?

BTW, I know that Adobe Acrobat can be "cracked" pretty easily so I would rather not use that format.

Thanks,
Brian

I'll look into it for you and let you know. Not to crap, but it might be $$$ and worthless. Microsoft spends millions of dollars per program to prevent it from warez and it gets cracked before it is even out on the market. Just don't want you to waste your money.

I would like to distribute the book on CD-ROM. If someone wants to go through the trouble of paying more to zerox, than to purchase the book from me...than I'll find it quite amusing. I do not want to publish it. It seems like there should be a program that can create a secure eBook for under a hundred dollars. My main goal is to create an eBook that I can sell for about $5/cd that cannot be "passed around" without a very significant amount of time spent on "cracking" it. I know that this seems difficult...but I find it funny that with all the technology present that it isn't possible to distribute secure media!

What's your opinion?

Why don't you want to publish it hard copy? Iuniverse can do it for a pretty reasonable amount.

BTW - What's the tutorial on?
