Fun, at first...

I really liked the game in the beginning, I enjoyed how realistic it seemed for this type of game and how it wasn't obscenely easy, but once you increase the difficulty level there comes a point in the game where all you can do is sit there and stare at the screen because the game will no longer give you any DNA points so that you can continue playing.
The first time this happened, I figured I had just wasted all my DNA points too fast and had focused too much on spreading the disease and not evolving it, but I tried playing it several times afterwards with different strategies and none fixed the problem. I continue to find myself with most of the population infected, but the rate that they were dying at wasn't fast enough when compared to the rate that the cure is being developed. I would probably be able to fix this problem if I were able to use my DNA points to evolve the disease, but no, the game wouldn't give me any DNA points once I came to this part of the game.
I always end up staring at the screen, waiting for something to happen. And after about ten minutes of doing nothing, humanity ends up found a cure and caused me to lose the game.
