I have a friend who works at the CDC labs here in Atlanta. I'm afraid to talk to him for any length of time because he tells the scariest stories...one that he told me: "Aids could become an airborne virus in the next five minutes, because humans can't control mutations. That's just a fact of life, you have to live with it. Ebola could be in that steak you're eating right now, and your organs could be liquified in a matter of hours."

Creepy stuff.

Bacteria and Virii have been here since the beginning of the History of Life on Earth. They'll still be here, long after we are gone.

They are THE most successful forms of terrestrial life, not us Homo Sapiens Sapiens (contrary to popular opinion).

They also will be our best defense against invading Aliens.

Praise be to Bacteria and Virii!
