EBGAMES makes an error shipping me Battlefield 1942: Road to Rome

First, I preordered Road to Rome, and I ordered one day shipping.

Here's the letter I got from them:

Sometimes, in our haste to get the latest games to you faster than
anyone
else, we make mistakes. Recently, with the release of Battlefield
1942: The
Road to Rome, we made one. While we were processing orders, yours
included,
we experienced a system error that resulted in your overnight order
being
shipped via 2 day air. As a result you will receive your game
tomorrow,
February 6th.

We realize that this is an inconvenience and we apologize for your game
arriving later than you anticipated. As an apology we have refunded
your
complete shipping charge for the order. This credit will post to your
credit card account within the next 2 to 3 business days.

Did anybody have the same problem? At least they are refunding my shipping.
 
EXCELLENT response to such a problem, honestly.
A hard-core Ferengi could prolly call the number, bitch them out, and get maybe a GC thrown in for good measure.

But I think they prolly deserve a pass on this one for handling it so well.

They screwed up, they refunded your money back along with an apology without you having to bitch them out. I say GG EBGAMES.

Rare to see something like that these days.

Me too. You see very little of this sort of professionalism in online sales (or any sales whatsoever now). EXCELLENT customer service response.

 
Maybe they would even give you something for calling them to compliment their excellent customer service?
 
that is very classy. at least they informed you of their mistake, and didnt just refund you the money with out telling you

still sux that you wont have the game when other people do. so you will just have to stay up later, mastering it so you can dominate online 🙂

Me too. EBGames.com is a great company. Their stores aren't always the best, but their online store is top notch.
 
ebgames.com is perfect in my mind. I've ordered 5-10 games from then at once on several occasions. I always promptly recieve a box with the stuff I ordered neatly packed inside. Its just.... so easy... to buy ..... must ....resist..
