ebay's airfare secrets CD?

Ebay's frontpage has a featured item that seems to be fairly legit. It's a CD filled with air travel and fare tips from a former employee who supposedly shows you how to get free flights (bumped from a flight), lower airfare, and free upgrades to 1st class.

Lots of satisfied customers so far in history so sounds like a decent gig. Especially for 4 bucks. (though s&H might kill this deal) Anyone tried this?

WTF is with that wizard.
How annoying. I could not hang out long enough to actually view the auction!!

edit: ok, got rid of the annoying wizard. But I would not wanna have to read thru a 6billion word auction to find if it is legit or not.

Guess this is a free bump then, huh?

🙂

Isn't offering to fly stand by to get cash and a free ticket common knowlege?

Free upgrades to 1st class don't happen unless them airline screws up somehow and wants to appease the customer or if you know someone in the ticket office.

Want lower airfare?? Try priceline.

Too good to be true.

Or you just fly alot. My mom is a 1k Premier on United and she hasn't flown coach in the past several years.

Looking at the past feedback, it seems like it's just tips like avoiding certain days or booking at least 2weeks in advanced, might be helpful to someone who doesn't travel a whole lot.

btw, www.flyertalk.com is a great place for frequent fliers to hang out.

i dunno...for $4 though....if ANYTHING in that deal is of value to you, it's probably well worth the value. I rarely fly (maybe once every 4 years or so), so this is probably worth the price.

no real secrets on that cd... just use common sense and you'll get good deals and be able to upgrade for little to nothing
