Someone wants to buy a console system bundle off of ebay from me. What's a fair price extra to charge to ship to Canada?

IIRC, the USPS and UPS have shipping estimation on their websites no?

Please use USPS so whoever you're shipping to doesn't have to pay brokerage fees.

Please?

I usually charge an extra $10 for shipments to Canada, but I'm hesitant to ship anything expensive up north as the paypal confirmed address restriction doesn't apply to canadian buyers.

it applies when a Canadian sells to another Canadian, but not when an American sells to a Canadian?!

Whatever you do, insure it..

I sold a laptop to a guy in Canada a few years ago, and it took three weeks to arrive..I was about to use the insurance coverage for it.

Since apparently not all Canadians can get a confirmed address, even if I set my account here in the US to ONLY accept payments with a confirmed address, ANY payment from Canada can come through, even without a confirmed address.

The confirmed address restriction only applies when you sell to the same country.

Bullcrap if you ask me, if i set my acct to deny without a confirmed address, I want it to apply everywhere.

I always add 50% to shipping cost for Canada. One time I shipped with UPS to Canada and the buyer was pissed becauseh e had to pay fees for it. I forget why...but he was mad.

he probably wasn't mad at you, but mad at UPS. it's just that the fee amounts in proportion to the shipment values are crazy. i bought a PS2 on FS/FT here a while back for $100 and Fedex or UPS (can't remember which, they both do it) sent me an invoice THREE WEEKS AFTER the shipment arrived for over $50!!

I had been playing the darn thing for weeks before they tried to solicit extra funds from me!! Not only that but the shipper had no knowledge of the brokerage fee situation.

I understand the fact that customs and duty fees apply, but the USPS only charges about $5 for that stuff. I think it's just a cash cow for the shipping co's.

They also threaten with "collections agencies" and such, which adds insult to injury. Interestingly enough, they balked on that threat. I didn't pay them, and have heard nothing almost a year later.
