Ebay - what should I do?

I made a purchase with buy it now on ebay. I paid seconds after clicking the button(literally). The seller agrees to ship withing 48 hours. Its been a week+1 day and I have gotten no response to my numerous e-mails and the phone number they provide always claims that "All operators are busy assisting other customers" which I highly doubt. I think I will get my item but when is more the question. The seller has a rating of 99.something but others before me have given neutral/negative feedback that they did not get responses to e-mails. When this happens the seller always follows up with "Unreasonable customer. I sent you 3 e-mails check your ISP".

Now, being in the situation I am in, I can see this is complete crap. Thing is when people do this they get neutral/negative feedback back even though they paid on time and did nothing wrong.

I would hate for this seller to keep getting away with this, what would you guys do. The reason I have been e-mailing is that I will only be on campus a bit longer and I want to make sure it will get here before I will leave.

Here is the auction:

Get his contact info from ebay

And get ready to wait some more, they take a hell of a long time to resolve issues between sellers and buyers.

Yes, but he can hardly claim that the OP never made contact if the OP calls by telephone

Feel free to contact customer care 9am - 5pm PST Monday through Friday @ 877-239-6638.

I have a revelation... Call AND Email!!!

Then firebomb them..

I've called that number may times guys, I mentioned that in my post, no one ever answers it always says that "they are helping other customers". Which I doubt is true given the number of times I have called.

Try contacting seller by phone and be like WTF?! etc. Hopefully that will get him to stop fvcking around. If not then contact ebay about it but make sure to foward your email at least three times, you will get a faster response. I remember sending them an email once and never even got a response.

only problem is I can't REACH THEM. So far they haven't repsonded back to any e-mails and I can't get through on the phone. I don't want negative feedback but I don't want this company to get away with crap service. I woulda paid $5 more and got them from Dick's Sporting Goods had I known it would take this amount of trouble and time to get them, at least I hope I get them. People appear to get them eventually. Some even claim "fast shipping" but they leave feedback 2-3 weeks after they paid. Do people consider this fast shipping!?

I look at it this way. If it's $20.00-$50.00 more (depending on item) to buy locally instead of online, I always do it. Easier returns, less hassle of waiting for the item to be returned/RMA'd, no shipping back/ BS charges .... etc. Not worth my time and my time I value highly! For me, Monitors, Hard drives, video cards etc. are always bought locally!
Now, will your time be worth the $5.00 you could of saved buying locally instead of online? Always think the worst will happen when buying an item online. This will save you grief & worry.

I'd say give it a week for the item to arrive. If arrives, leave neutral feedback. If doesn't arrive, file a PayPal claim & definately leave negative feedback. I wouldn't worry about getting neg feedback in return. I can only speak for myself, when I am buying something off eBay, I always search for all the negatives in their feedback, but I also look at the feedback history of those who gave the negative remarks. So I would look at your profile & see that you're a good guy who got screwed by someone who has screwed others in the same way.

Side rant - eBay went waaaay downhill ever since they implemented that frikkin buy-it-now feature.

EDIT - of course, there always is the possibility that the auctioneer's mail server is on different blacklists around the internet, and your isp may be silently blocking any incoming mail from that server.

ADDITION - I looked into mail.beyondhobbies.com, and it is definately included in blacklists around the internet, and my own ISP is currently blocking that server too, so it's quite possibly not their fault you're not getting any e-mail from them.
