eBay wants to visit me

So I got an email from eBay saying they are doing a study of people's habits while using eBay, and they want to visit me. Apparently they would send a team of three researchers to my house to observe me while I use eBay for three hours. In return I get a $50 gift certificate, and $100 to use on eBay how I want while the researchers are there (that would be one short research session. I know exactly what I could use $100 on). Not sure if I want to do it, since they want it to be during the day.

Anyone else get this? I image it would likely only be people in the Silicon Valley that would get it since eBay is right here.

According to the email headers, it's a legit email. The registration links point to actual ebay sites, and their site does talk about the "eBay Visits Program," which is what they call it in the email.

Like I said, it would be a short visit for me. I'm only on there when I'm looking for something specific. And usually it's at work anyway.

It would be a weird visit. They would probably get there, talk to me for a bit about their research, then they'd give me the $100 code or whatever. I'd spend that within like 10 minutes, and then be like, "Well, I'm done. I'm going to go get something to eat, are you guys going to wait here for the next two and half ours, or come with me?"

Call a friend the day before and have them set up a $100 auction right before ebay shows up......buy it from friend...have said friend paypal you that 100 dollars minus a helping fee..
