I just bought one of these on ebay and am being very cautious. The price seems too good to be true. Could this be a scam?? Thoughts?

How much did you pay? $1500 is about right.

Oh, be prepared for the anti-bose flameboys. ;)

You could build a pretty nice system for $1500 and it wouldn't have those little cube speakers.

EDIT: I put Bose in the same league as monster cable. Its ok but the they spend more on marketing that product development.

"This palm-size music center is smaller than a videotape, yet it replaces an entire rack of conventional components"

Are you sure you're not bidding on a remote control of some kind?

That thought had crossed my mind, however the picture shows everything. I emailed the seller to see if he would be willing to do escrow on this if I payed all the fees. No response yet.

Personal® music center Palm-sized center allows you to see system status and interact with the system anywhere inside or close to the house.

That is the only thing you would be bidding on, none of the other components.

Unless it says in legal terms that pictures shown depict the product on which you are bidding, they may as well include a few pics of Kama-Sutra scenes :) In most computer ads it even says "images may not accurately represent the product due to slight model variations", etc..

It was too good to be true. The seller is canceling the auctions, saying someone stole his ID. Oh Well.

I have heard Bose stuff at their store and it sounds OK. I think they're a good choice if you don't want the 'home theater' look in your living room because the speakers are inconspicuous. I wouldn't drop $2500 on that set though.

Most people who diss Bose are the ones who never owned it. It usually goes like this: "I heard it from my friend's cousin's neighbors daughter....blah...blah" Congratulations on a nice deal, you're going to love that system.

I've heard Bose in person and I still think they blow. Most people who don't diss Bose are the ones who have never heard anything else. It usually goes like this: "Most people who diss Bose are the ones who never owned it."
