i listed a laptop on ebay, and someone from australia emailed me saying he'd buy the item without bidding. Heres the thing though: he insists using a credit card and that i send it express delivery. I plan to have him pay me with a credit card via paypal. If in the case that he uses a stolen credit card, is there any way that the money will be retracted from my paypal account?

agreed
better to be safe than sorry. Trust me on this

You will lose the laptop and the payment. After it ships, Paypal will ntoice it's a stolen card or they will do a chargeback, you will lose the money, they will have your laptop.

You have been warned.

I guess it's possible that the guy is legit, but unfortunately he's using the most popular scenario to scam on ebay - using a credit card through Paypal and ship to a foreign country. On top of that, he wants to buy the item outside of ebay so you don't even have ebay's weak protection.

If the credit card is fraudulent, Paypal will grab your money and freeze your account so fast your head will spin.

Don't do it. Don't even consider it.

he also asked if i had more. hehe.

Tell him yes, you have more, but he needs to wire transfer $1000 via Western Union because your supplier in Romania needs some cash to ship the things.
