I have a Matrix Reloaded theater poster that I got from work and I want to sell it on Ebay but a lot of the times they're not for Resale because its imprinted on the poster. Now my company throws out posters all the time, now lets say I were to come along and pick them out of the trash and sell them thats not illegal is it? I don't wanna get into any legal trouble of something stupid. Anyone got any advice?

I would assume that the "not for resale" means not meant for retail purchase, as in the theatre shouldnt be selling them since they are free from the studio for promotion purposes. There are several theater posters on Ebay at any given time, I think you are ok.

Just say that you are selling some trash you picked from work. And the trash just happens to be a poster..

If this is a poster a theater used for advertiing. Keep it! These tend to get valuable over time. Go to sothebys.com(sp) if you don't believe me.

If you intend to keep working at your current job don't sell them on e-bay. The not for resale part has to do with copyrights and the movie distributors can get nasty. They probably won't, but e-bay is VERY public.

kherman is right. get all the posters you can, store them FLAT (hopefully they are in perfect condition already), and wait.
