Ebay selling problem

I sold an Xbox game on ebay through BIN on Monday. I got two emails concerning this. One was return address of the buyer confirming instant payment received and it was evidently initiated by Paypal. The other email was from eBay <ebay@ebay.com> saying my item had sold. They have the same buyer name but different addresses, one being Carlsbad, CA the other Healdsburg, CA. I sent an email immediately (two days ago now) to the buyer at the email address in the first post (confirming instant payment), asking him where he wants the package sent, but I've gotten no reply. What should I do?

Paypal, as thats where the money is coming from. As long as it is "confirmed".

Well, the email informing me of instant payment (evidently from Paypal, but return address is the buyer) includes an "unconfirmed shipping address." The one from Ebay includes "Buyer's shipping address." To me it's confusing. When I login to my Paypal account and go to the transaction, "details" I get the first address ("unconfirmed" one according to the email to me) not the one from Ebay, but at Paypal, this address is shown as confirmed. WTF...

Thanks. I'm taking it to the USPS office right now...

I actually ran into this (as a buyer) earlier this week. I moved in October, updated my Paypal addy but never did ebay (cause I hardly ever use it). I won an auction and paid, but the email I got had my old shipping address as unconfirmed. I ended up contacting the seller immediately and then by phone to follow up to make sure they rerouted it to the proper destination (some 900 miles away).

I'm still not convinced that it's going to the address this guy prefers. Anyway, it says at Paypal that it's confirmed and he didn't answer my email so what else can I do?

You can send another email for follow up with a time limit, then refund & relist...

Or send to the confirmed address, tracking your ass all the way.

Email the buyer and tell him you only ship to confirmed Paypal addresses. That's the only type of addresses I ship to. If they are unconfirmed, they can send me a USPS money order. If the user never replies, send a second email asking him to confirm the address within X days. After X days, refund his money and relist.

I already simply sent the item to the confirmed Paypal address. No tracking or anything, no delivery confirmation. I've never had an issue before doing that. Not the best way to cover my ass but I haven't had problems. I will send him another email telling him where it went, but I have no proof that he'll see the email.

You are supposed to always use delivery confirmation.

How would you intend to win a dispute if the buyer states that the item was not received?
