Ebay Sellers not leaving Feedback???

I have won 5 auctions over a month ago but the sellers has never left any feedback for me...I always pay within an hour winning and leave feedback within a day of receiving the item. I have been using ebay for about two years and this is the first time that I have had this problem (btw, I have had very good luck and have never had the need to leave any negative feedback)...

I sent some polite emails this weekend to 'remind' them I have left positive feedback for them and requesting they do same since payment was made immediately following the of the auction...three of the auctions were from power sellers and the other two were from individuals...

hope this isn't a growing trend....

just wondering if this is happening to anyone else....

hey
I am a powerseller and I usually update my feedback every two weeks
when you sell a lot of items it is a pain to keep it up to the minute sometimes

He said it's been a month..

I've had a few people not leave feedback. If they don't respond after a few emails, I just forget about it.

In the past, it has taken at the most three weeks (which has happened two or three times)....but over a month is a little out of hand...

My feedback count is only 58 over the past 2 and 1/2 years, so I would really like the feedback...

if they don't respond to these I emails, I will probably let it go though....

oh well....

First, feedback is voluntary. People are free to leave positive, neutral, or negative or no feedback.

Feedback for buyers is not very important in my opinion. You can still bid and if you snipe, the seller can't really do anything about it even if you have terrible feedback. IF you do plan on selling in the future, consider getting separate buyer and selling accounts (protect against vigilantes and retaliation). Other than that, getting feedback IMO is more important for the seller (i.e for buyers to evaluate/gauge a seller's performance) than it is for a buyer. If you are strictly a buyer, you have more than enough feedback.

Except that ebay doesn't do separate feedback percentages for buying or selling ,it's all lumped into one main percentage point. For someone trying to establish themself, buying cheap things and racking up feedback points is the way to go.

Actually that's pretty common.

I tend to do the same thing... Since I sell, the buyer leaving positive feedback signifies an end to the transaction, and that all was well. It makes sense to leave feedback at that point.

I state in all of my auctions that feedback must be left for me before I will leave feedback for you.

If someone has 400 positives and zero negatives, then 1 more positive doesn't matter.
Seriously, a lot of ebayers need to relax a little bit. I highly doubt anyone would neglect to leave negative feedback. IMO, no feedback = no problems. I would always give a new bidder feedback to get them established, but once someone's established as a good customer, what difference does it make?
That said, I still leave positive feedback because some people get so bent out of shape about it.
