eBay (scam?) help

Hey guys

I'm selling some stuff on ebay and I just had a german guy buy the stuff and he wants to pay with paypal and ship to a person in the US. I know I've read an article about people being tricked into thinking they are "working" as a reshipper but they are really being used to launder stuff out of the US that's been bought with stolen credit cards (or something like that).

If someone could help me find that article again (it might have been on fark.com recently but i couldn't find it) I would really appreciate it.

For those of you that are interested, here is what the buyer just emailed me:

Hey,

I bought the 2 Call of Duty Games. I am German but I have an US Pay pal account but only a German credit card. I have made several Transactions while I was in the US. And my friend is living there and she gets all the items and brings it to me. I tried to make the payment via pay pal but I got an error that you only accept US accounts. How can I make the payment through pay pal? Please let me know soon if it is possible to make the payment through pay pal!! If not possible I have to figure something out. I need the 2 Games.
I didn't know this before. Please make an exception and accept a German credit card. Take a look at all my positive feedback.

Ok, it's kind of like the Deceptive Double Wammy listed on the bottom.

There is a ton of ways this can go wrong. There is a guy on Seller Central on ebay now with a big repeat customer from the UK that now is trying to get him to handle the 'money' and shipping of his goods.

There are way to many ways a deal can go wrong with only two people....much much more when one is out of the country. Add a third person to the mix and it would open up a whole drama.

Unless his friend is willing to purchase through paypal to there confirmed address I would accept no other way. Also you will have to get him to mutually agree to your auction end or he can come back and negative or complain.

It sounds like this guy is reasonable though....usually the items getting scammed are much more that a couple games....however even trinkets have been frauded.
