First ebay rant.

WHY do some people put wrong listings in their headline (or whatever it is called)?!

They say NOT nokia, not Sony, not etc etc etc

And it comes up and it is something else! WHO clicks on this BS?!

I agree 100%. If I'm searching for something specific, I'll type a keyword to look for that item. I hate wading through all of the bullsh!t that's "NOT [item]". I fvcking hate that. :|

Because when people do searchn for Nokia etc... it will take them to that listing. Many sellers also misspell their listings on purpose.

simple advertising, some people don't want a "sony" brand, or dont know other brands exist...so they type in sony camcorder...and they'll get some JVC's too etc etc, good for both parties, just use the -nokia etc if you don't want a nokia

LOL, indeed. :D

Technically this type of keyword spamming is illegal according to eBay's TOS. But who's going to take the time to call out every violation...

Key word spamming, it's illegal on ebay. They do it to get attention from people looking for things they don't have.

doing -not won't work. You would be excluding the listings you want to see. And considering that most if not all the listings have "not" in it, it would most likly return with zero results.

VERY annoying stufff!

When you are looking for something specific you don't want to see YYY, DDD or UUU items!

Would reporting them to ebay do any good? :p
