Is it allowed to have multiple accounts on Ebay and bid/leave feedback for your own auctions?

**real names left out**
I emailed a seller (Bob) about an item and also checked the box to have my question sent to my email. Later this evening I get a response email on the item but the seller is different (Ray)

Bob has over 12k feedback and has been a member since '98. Ray has 1 feeback and has been a member since Jan '07. That one feedback that Ray has is from Bob. Ray currently has "ZERO" items for sale on Ebay.

The Ebay response email from Ray also has no mention of the item or item# that I was asking the question on.

Not sure if I just misread, but was the message sent through ebay or straight to your email? What did the message say? You said it didn't have anything to do with what you asked? Was it completely random? Was it spam?

I sent the question through Ebay to the supposed seller and got a reponse to the question from a diff. ebay member.
The response email answered my question.
All were legitimate Ebay emails.

I think its OK to have multiple accounts, but bidding and leaving feedback on your own items is definately not, its a bannable offence

I have multiple accounts. I have never left feedback for myself though. Either way, Im sure it is against Ebays terms.
