Ebay question..

How do you make it so that when you have the buy it now option and people bid up the auction, it doesn't go away? Every time I list an auction with the buy it now option and the option to bid on it, the 'buy it now' feature goes away yet I've seen auctions that have bids on them yet the 'buy it now' feature is still available..

How do I do that?

ok when you are choosing the format of the auction. You DO NOT select fixed price, as this will only be a buy it now and nothing else.

lemme guess...this is for a ps3 or wii aint it? 🙂

FYI, the PS3s are only going for $1,100 - 1,200 now so don't expect anyone to take a $2,000 Buy It Now offer.

Also, if you got the free EB/GameStop 1 yr warranty mention that in the title.

I don't select fixed price, I select 'auction' style or something of the sort, either way, when people begin to bid on my auction, the buy it now offer goes away, yet I've seen auctions where the buy it now option stays despite bids.

I haven't sold in ages, but isn't the disappearence blocked if you've set a reserve price and the reserve is not yet met?

I think Buy It Now stays until reserve price is met. If you set a reserve of $1,000 and the item has been bid up to $850, the BIN is still there....but once bidding reaches 1000, BIN disappears.

Black88GTA, you are correct- If you have a reserve on the item and the bids haven't reached the reserve- it will stay there. Once it hits the reserve...goodbye BIN!
