Ebay question

Is there a way to find someone's ebay ID by using their password? I tried on ebay, and it confirmed that the person exists and has X amount of feedback, but it says their policy is to not give me the username since we don't have a recent transaction.

The reason I want it is to track what this person is selling: he stiffed me on a (non ebay) sale, and I won a paypal claim against him... but he doesn't have the funds in his paypal account. I'm thinking he closed that account and started a new one to avoid them taking money out and giving it to me, but I need the username to make sure.

Any ideas?

I'mm sorry I screwed that up. I meant to say EMAIL... I know the guy's EMAIL not his password. No wonder it didn't make sense!

Uh.. if he opened another ebay account then that email address you have is worthless... because he's using a different address! I don't think ebay allows multiple accounts for the same email.

OK but I think he is still using the same original account, tied with the email address that I have. I could be wrong though... but in any case I'd like to find out the user ID anyway.

And to clarify, when I mentioned him using a different account, I meant paypal. He can use his same old ebay with lots of good feedback. Then he could use a new paypal to take payment, since his old paypal has a negative balance due to the claim I won.

The email address ab253@evansville.edu is used by a valid eBay member with a feedback score of 183 (99.5% positive). We have not found a transaction between you and this member in the last 60 days. For privacy purposes, it is eBay's policy that User IDs are not revealed to members who are not involved in current or recent transactions with each other.

So that's where I'm stuck. I need his user ID to look at his auctions, and see if he is still selling things and taking paypal for payment.
