Just curious. I'm not new to the game but have never run into me not wanting to sell something over halfway through the bidding!

I hate me!

I have auction
Multiple people have bid
Can I close the Auction without ramifications?

I'm fairly sure you have to cancel all the bids, then you can cancel the auction. Unless its in the last 24 hours.

i don't know if it's still the case, but in the past i've seen auctions cancelled "due to an error in the listing" and a couple of other reasons.

I'm just wanting to hold onto this. I'd like a definate answer if you can.

Why did I list the item if I did'nt want to sell it? I've not a clue, I got caught up in it. Some of you out there must know how it feels!

yes, ive seen it done very recently.

me and about 10 others were bidding on a very sexy Skyway TA BMX. bidding had already reach 700GBP with 3 days left, and the seller pulled out, stating he'd sold it outside eBay.

probably got negative feedback though

Yes, you can do this. No, you will not get negative feedback.

Possible legitimate reasons:
Sold outside of eBay.
Error in the listing.
Item damaged.
Vague "item no longer available for sale"

last I checked that was true...

OP you can just read the rules in Seller Central, that's why it's there.
