Ebay question

I'm watching an eBay item that is ending in 1/2 hour. Been watching it for a couple of days and haven't bid yet. The seller has zero feedback. The item is currently at ~ $100 and I figure it might sell at $130 - $170 plus around $10 shipping. The seller seems pretty OK to me, just a hunch. What happens if the seller doesn't come through or there's some problem. Does eBay stand behind sellers in some way or would I be SOL if the seller doesn't send the item? Thanks.

Yeah, I did too. But I built up a fair amount of feedback by buying and being straight up before I ever got into selling. Yeah, the seller's probably legit, but I wonder if I'm SOL if it turns out the seller doesn't come through.

your purchase is covered by ebay. It may be a lil long if something happens to get a refund, but u are protected.

Cool, thanks. I'm gonna bid then, try to snipe it with 20 seconds to go! :p Ooo, just checked and it's already up to $132.50... It's gonna be a shootout at the end. It's had 446 looks already!

use a credit card, then you can complain to them and get your money back if the transaction goes awry.

Thanks. I'll do that if the seller will accept that as payment. I know I don't because I don't have a premium Paypal account.

hahaha

How is that funny?

I agree, it ain't funny. Start your own thread and laugh...

Well, I won the auction, which is pretty amazing considering it got 562 looks. I have a very good feeling about the seller, couldn't be better. I have more trust for this person than a lot of sellers that have even 100% positive feedback with over 100 feedbacks. Seller decided to split the shipping costs with me, I can't complain about that.

yeah, zero bids isnt as nearly sketchy to me as negitives...

zero bids stopped being threatening when ebay tightened its ban policies
