I have a quesiton. I was looking at puchasing something off of ebay. I won the bid. But now on the total i see a sellers discounts or charges and that added on the amount of the acutal purchase and made my total double. What exactly is that?

[L]http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8238048898#ShippingPayment[/L]

it tells me in an email that my total invoice amount is 1420. original item was 685 with 25 dollars shipping. lmk what you think. i have read about it and it sounds like people call it an invoice error. lmk what you think pls.

Item # Item Title Qty. Price
8238048898 XBOX 360 PREMIUM New in Box and ready to ship!!!!!!! 1 US $685.00

Subtotal: US $685.00
Shipping and handling via US Postal Service Priority Mail:
US $25.00
Seller discounts (-) or charges (+): US $710.00

Total: US $1,420.00

As stated in my auction shipping is $25.00 to the lower 48 states. I do accept Pay Pal but right now I am having problems on my end with the account and I would prefer that you DO NOT use Pay Pal unless absolutely necessary. Money order or cashiers check ships immediately. Personal check will ship when it clears.

There is the copy paste of invoice.

Seems extremely sketchy. Hey may cash your MO/Check and then claim you didn't pay the full amount, and ebay would back him up. I doubt he'd get away with it more than once, but that's all it'd take for him to make a quick couple of hundred bucks.

Ask him to fix the total amount and then paypal it to him, if he can't get his ebay account working right then he shouldn't be selling.

Thanks for the quick response you two. Yeah, i mean 685 w/o shipping is a great deal. For the fact i have no clue when shipments are coming in. Positive feedback for the person doesn't seem bad. I'm not trying to troll her either. Its jsut thats double my price. She said she would rather me not send via paypay since there's somethign wrong on the other end. I was going tos end mo neways, due to the fact it would take me a few days to transfer funds. If I was charged 1400 dollars, I would prob drop it and just get his with the neg. feedback. But i hope eveyrhing works out. If anyone else has some opinions, possibly ppl that deal with ebay a lot lmk pls. I know that when you press the pay now button, you can actually edit out that cost and then recalculate and knock it down to the actual cost. Here selling info was vague, so there is no mention of what that cost could be. Hey, what can i say im an ebay "noob".

Thanks guys

Problem solved. Something was wrong with the invoice I guess. Seller contacted EBAY and requested it to be fixed. Thanks!
