All was going well for my auction until 2 people with zip codes named APO/FPO started bidding....high. They overbid everyone by a substantial amount of money. They registered only today. So I am asking you is this a scam, should I contact e-bay immediately?

All I know the guy has a navy.mil e-mail address, and a APO/FPO for his zip code, what does this all mean?

Yeah, the Army Post Office is really a hardcore scam. So hardcore that they're registered with the US goverment. :p

That being said - take the same precautions as with any other eBay auction.

Actually, as I understand it shipping is normal price, not overseas. You pay to ship tot he APO point, then the military pays for everything else. But I really dont know, thats just what I heard. Still ends up being pennies on the dollar to go overseas with APO though.

Shipping from an APO is free. Shipping To an APO still requires the shipper to pay the charges.

I was expecting to pay a shipping fee when someone bought my laptop ( he was stationed in germany ) and when I went to ship and went to pay, they told me shipping was free.
I didn't really care since I didn't have to pay anything :) so I was happy.

so the reason why they paid so much is because they live outside of USA and only United States stores sell this product?

Shipping by priority mail is same price as priority mail zone 8. You must fill out a customs form however, and there is no delivery confirmation available but you can insure the package (recommended).

Probably...man this is bringing back the hell i went through as a military brat. Imagine living overseas and wanting a skateboard made in California. You buy it w/o ever seeing it and it can take a month to reach you....aaarghh!! Really made you appreciate it once you recieved whatever package you were waiting on though...
