I've been getting like 5 copies of this email a day and I got the response from Ebay so just FYI for anyone with relatives that like to click all emails they get

Hello,
Thank you for writing to eBay regarding the email you received. We reviewed your report and found that although the message you received was made to appear as if it had been sent by an eBay user, it was not. It appears that this email may also contain a keystroke virus. If you clicked on any of the links in the email, you may have exposed your computer to this virus. We are not equipped to determine if your computer is indeed infected with a virus. If you have not already done so, you should seek out a virus scanner program to use on your system.

I just got a ebay email that an item i was watching was ending, but it was the wrong item (i have about 6 i was watching).

Clicked it, and realized FVCK! Brought me to 'My Ebay' page (with the autologin), my homepage... But i watched a small thingy pop up in my system tray then dissapear 5 seconds later.....

Runnin my Virus Scan now :(

If i post the source, can you guys tell if its real or not?

hmm... my question for you guys then is have you gotten these weird "question from an ebay member" emails that ask to add $6 shipping to random states? i have gotten like 50 of them ... they haven't come recently, but they don't look like viruses and i don't think they're harmful... i'd love to know what the intention of those emails are though.

send it to spoof@ebay.com and they send something back (maybe like above) in a few days
they want you to forward it unedited and not as an attachement

I'd like to send a REAL virus to the assh0les who keep creating this sh!t. A nice flesh eating virus would be perfect.

i've been getting an aw-confirm e-mail from ebay recently, 1 a day. It says it needs a new credit card, because the one on file doesn't work. everything looks legit until you click on teh link and it takes you to the login page, has some odd characters in the url

yea, this is how i test if the emai is fake or not. fake? it'll 'process' your log-in and display a screen for you to enter credit card and other info.
