eBay's trying to push PayPal as Google gets ready to get into the online payment battle.

you need the coupon codes, find them at NBD.

*update*: new codes out for december.

So Ebay/Paypal picks up the $5 or $15? So the buyer gets a good deal and the seller gets the normal price, right? I know it sounds like dumb question, just wanted to get clarification.

I have a few things on Ebay, just thought it might be nice to put it in the description.

this is how i understand it, win an auction on ebay then use paypal to pay. obviously the seller has to accept paypal. then, when you check out put in the coupon codes.

Would Ebay allow you to mention the coupon in an auction? I have one going now that would be nice to add to the description.

The only one I see is

deal @ eBay.com 11/08/05 @ 10:00AM PST
$5 off $50 Coupon:
$15 off $100 Coupon:
expires: 11/30/05 @ 11:59PM PST
go to deal

When I click go to deal it just takes me to the main ebay page.

Sellers did that the last time they had coupons active.

so let me get this straight...these are for buyers to save money, and sellers can pass the savings on to them?

I just stuck all the coupon codes in my auction. There's actually a 10% off total up to 25.00 in savings. Just substitute C1. You guys know the rest.

Used the $15 off $100. Just for kicks I tried to stack them but of course it didn't work. Paypal shows it is sending the full amount to the seller and then breaks out the coupon amount + the amount coming from your account.

ie: $285 was sent to Joe Blow ($15 coupon and $270 paypal account withdrawal)

Look at the OP's sig.

The "C1" code (10% off, $25 max) that esquared has mention look interesting. I'm looking to get an iPod Nano 4GB for $225 with that code.

Cool. I have a couple of possible project guitars and parts I'm eyeing on Ebay. This could definately make a difference if they work for me.

Bumping to the top for a very useful deal. I just used the $15 off $100 coupon a few minutes ago without any problem.

I think, but am not positive, that each of these three coupons are one time use per Paypal account, but I'm not sure.
