Hi,

I sold around 10 of these laptops and one person complained that it DOES NOT have Bluetooth and Lightscribe DVD Burner.

He filed a dispute with Paypay and I need your opinion on this.

Please look at this listing:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISA...Item&item=150274363569

When looking at the listing, do you expect the laptop to have bluetooth and lightscribe?

Or more importantly, should anyone expect it?

Please provide your honest opinion.

Best Regards
-Tim

Well, just dropping those two search terms into my browser doesn't bring anything up, so I'm going to say no.

I wouldn't think so. But this is misleading:
"2.0 Ghz x 2 = 4.0 Ghz"
EDIT
Missed the icons, was looking for the words.
You owe the person a refund.

Thanks for your your replies guys.

I already changed my listing template to removed all of those icons.

The reason why those icons are there was because some of my laptop does have bluetooth and lightscribe and I use that template in the listing.

I thought that the icons were just to graphically categorize each items and was not part of the description.

Honestly I think any half intelligent person could figure out that those icons were just for categorization, but I can certainly see some people not understanding that. I like to call those people idiots, and they are everywhere.

Also get rid of that 4ghz crap, makes zero sense.

Bad choice of Icon's. The seller is a moron though for not reading the spec's and instead just looking at the icons.

You mean the buyer is a moron? Even so I agree but for the sake of being screwed by paypal I would offer to refund minus shipping charges. Otherwise paypal is going to side with the buyer anyways and you will be lose the money and be lucky to get the notebook back.

Dude, I was all set to come to your defense, but 2x2.0 GHZ =/ 4.0 GHZ. It's pretty clear you're trying to trick someone clueless into buying this computer. In summation, fuck you.

edit: Ahhhh, What the hell is this nonsense?

You're a computer seller pumping up your feedback rating by buying good ratings with free laser pointers? DEFINITELY fuck you.

The free items was a marketing idea I got from reading a few marketing books.

I sent all of the items for free.

I also included a coupon with the free item for future purchases.

With any kind of marketing, there are costs added to it. This is no exception. It cost me the price of the item, the packaging, the shipping cost and the time to do all of this stuff.

People are welcome to participate in the marketing promotion if they want. They don't have to.

I get a lot of emails back saying Thank You after they received it.

You're just buying your feedback and are totally by passing why the feedback system is there in the first place. Your in the same group that scammers fall under. To add too it as others have said, dual core doesn't mean you can just add the speed together, fucking scammer.

Why use a lightscribe logo as a representation of an Optical Disc if the drive does not support it? I do agree that is completely misleading, same with the bluetooth. It wwould have been just as easy to write "No Bluetooth" next to where the WIFI specs were.

i missed the free item deal. That is not marketing, that is buying feedback. Not even remotely similar. Buying feedback certainly gains you an entry on my pound sand list.

When I see discrepancies in an auction like those between the icons and the individual descriptions I do one of two things:

1) Assume the seller was trying to screw me and move on
2) Send an email requesting clarification

Bluetooth and Lightscribe icons were misleading. 2 x 2ghz = 4ghz is misleading.
