eBay non-paying bidder question.

The bidder used Buy It Now, and never paid. It's been 10 days, so I just sent a reminder payment.

My question is, if I file the non-paying buyer and fees refund form, and leave negative feedback, can the buyer also leave negative feedback to me even though he didn't buy it and is a dead-beat (assuming I don't get the check in a week or so).

Thanks for your help.

Yup. The only way to prevent the other person from leaving you retalitory feedback is to leave your feedback on the last possible day at the last possible minute (90 days after the close of auction - I think).

Chances are it is a deadbeat bidder especially since it was purchased with Buy It Now.

Yes, he can leave you negative feedback even if you do everything right and the transaction goes perfectly. You can then write under the negative comment and tell your side of the story, though you don't get a whole lot of space to do so.

sure he can...but you can dispute it

Didn't know you could ever dispute feedback through ebay.

I have never had to do it, but I have saw lots of posts saying that you can.

yeah you can... but i don't think its worth it if he retaliates with a negative feedback for you. i just report him to ebay after the time period they tell you to wait and they refund your selling fee and they'll send him a warning. sure it adds like 2 weeks hassle plus you have to relist the item... but hey ebay is full if fvcktards.

You can go through Squaretrade to get the negative feedback removed if he leaves any. Also, if you present some evidence to eBay back up the fact that the guy hasn't paid they may remove the feedback, or possibly lock his account. Since you can respond to feedback you can always wait until they lock his account for be a nonpaying troll fsckwit and then post the responce, "This person's account has been locked by eBay for repeated non-payment." The single negative rating will still be there, but if anybody bothers to check the feedback they'll be able to verify that this guy is a no-good non-paying re-re.

Oh yes, if you want vengance go to TrollHunters.com. They have some useful links. I just recently sent in a complaint to the Web Police about a non-sending seller and am probably going to call his area's DA sometime next week. Just because it's over the web doesn't mean you can't extract your vengance. :p

do the normal non-payment routine with ebay (so you get your listing fee back)
block this person from ever bidding on your auctions again (nice ebay feature)
contact the second person on your ebay auction list by email to see if they want to buy it.

leave negative feedback on the last day possible (or don't leave any feedback, depending on your mood)

Leave feedback on the last possible day or don't do it at all if you're worried about him giving you a negative.

I had a multiple item auction and a guy bought 2 of them and never paid me. 3 weeks later he buys the same item from me again! Still haven't heard a word from him :(
