Heres the deal Atot.

I bought a pack of sylvania 9007 su headlights from a seller in Canada on september 28th.
Auction Here

Buyer had low but good positive feedback. HOWEVER, after 20 days I still had not received the headlights, so I wrote him a message asking for a tracking number at which point he responded (3 days later) that he had been on a business trip and would ship them out.

I am really sorry for the inconvenience. I was away on business and therefore could not complete the transaction. Your parcel shall be shipped ASAP (Tonight).

So I figured what the hell, cut the guy a break, well another 2 weeks go by, and even with canadian customs (which I have dealt with before) I open a paypal claim, which I win, even though he provided proof of shipping (a tracking # that just says tracking info electronically submitted)

Now the question is, I have gotten my refund and everything, but what should I do if the headlights arrive at my doorstop. If they work I definitely want to keep them, so..... should I

A)Keep them, keep the money, leave negative feedback
B) Keep them, send him the $, leave negative feedback
C) Keep them, keep the money, leave neutral feedback
D) Keep them, send him the $ (again), leave neutral
E) Keep them, send him the $, leave positive feedback
F) Keep them, keep the money, leave positive feedback

Are you kidding me? Don't be an asshole. If they arrive, send him back his money and leave him a neutral. I don't think a negative is warranted.

Why? Because then he actually sent them, and is trying to salvage the sale. New Ebayers can sometimes be a bit slug like in their attempts to buy and sell. Just keep in mind, you may find yourself in some similar situation as a seller one day, and how would you want this slip up to effect your Ebay rating?

I once sold 2 identical JBL 10 inch subs to the same buyer. One got there in like 3 days, the other took almost 5 weeks, WTF? I gave him all the tracking info to prove the items were shipped at the same time, with insurance, and the post office admitted they were having trouble locating the item. He could have left me neg feedback on the sale, and did not. It was not my fault. But if he left me a neg, I really couldn't blame him.

But his beef was really with the post office, for refusing to settle with him until they finished researching the case and paying off the insurance for 300 bucks. He never got a response from the post office where it was all that time, and it arrived all beat up on the outside one day, unexpectedly, but because of my superior packing, it was intact and functional.

Oh, he left me 2 positive feedbacks! :D

I'm going to send him the cash if/when I ever receive them. However, it will be neutral feedback, just because of the initial 15 day wait.

Don't worry, he didn't send them. "Electronic info recieved" means nothing whatsoever, and now that Paypal refunded you your money, he isn't going to send out the package.

Law states you get 30 days to ship...if he accepted paypal he gets 7 days to ship.

It's always best to email the seller to get how long until they ship items. Some powersellers only ship once per month, many only once per week.

Also even priority mail is not guaranteed...my longest shipment via Priority was just shy of 3 months.
