Wow, people on ebay making donation auctions.. how lame is that

- Help me get a Xbox one and I don't have enough money to get one.

- Please help me raise money to by a Xbox one for my son and family. I am a stay at home dad with a newborn and can't afford the new system. Please donate anything to help.

- I lost my wife a couple years ago and haven't been able to make things better for my sons. I work and am able to provide necessities for my twins but I have no room for much else. This is not a scam. I'm hoping there are still kindhearted people in the world willing to provide donations or a used, working xbox one. Thank you.

That's probably against eBay's ToS. You have to sell something... even if it's a mailed "Thank you!" card for "donating".

begging has moved into cyber space and now many can give their hard earned money to total strangers for very little reason. Before donating ask only 1 question...if it was a person on the street asking would I hand over the cash?

Or, if it were me asking, would anybody hand over the cash? Of course the answer would be a resounding NO.

It sucks when somebody gets dealt a bad hand, sure. But getting an Xbox would be rather low on my priority list if I were in that situation. Besides, if they have no money, how the hell are they going to buy games for the thing? They're not cheap. Plus it's another $50 a year to get online.
