Alright so several weeks ago I stepped on my dell D800 lcd and broke it. I know, I am an idiot. I ordered a new one from ebay, and the description said WUXGA D800 LCD screen. However when I recieved it I found out it was only WSXGA (1680x1050). I honestly don't care THAT much, but I would'nt have bought it if I had known it was only that resolution, since I could probobly could have gotten a different monitor of that resolution at a little less. So the question is, do you guys think it is worth the hassle of making the seller send me a different one. I don't want to be a jerk, but it does annoy me that people who sell this stuff have no idea what they are selling.

Absolutely. I imagine that wasn't cheap to purchase, and 1920x1200 vs 1680x1050 is a decent size difference. Request a refund or exchange.

Also, link to auction so we can determine if it has a stupid disclaimer in there?

Filing report now, the monitor is in perfect shape and everything, but it definately is falsly advertised. I should have asked the resolution before I purchased to make sure the guy knew what he was talking about...

Ebay person "wonder why an auction that has been closed for a week is getting so many hits...Link

Just take care of it through the seller. If this was an honest mistake, the seller should be glad to replace the item. If it was a intentional swap, then at least you know what to do in case of that.

Generally speaking if the person raises a highly defensive tone, they probably meant to do it on purpose.
