I love it when guys try to get you to lower the price after the auction ends. I got this guy saying he could get it cheaper and he didn't want to pay what he bid for it. WTF

Or when they email you questions asking if something is included when right in the auction it clearly states that what you see in the pictures is exactly what you are getting.

I still love the tooth and nail of the fray...
It's amazing how well the rating system works to force buyer and seller to play nice, nice
:D

I love getting feedback from someone who has zero or negative saying I won't give them any information because they can't follow my relatively simple directions to fill out my checkout.

Yep, that's one downside to the feedback system. On the upside, you can give a response to the feedback. I just wish they gave the responses more than 80 chars.

I've since heard that you can go through square trade or some such and possibly get a negative review removed. In my opinion, this would be a clear cut case.

Good on em for asking questions. Better they do that and clear up whatever isn't clear to them than have things go south after the auction end.

I hate it when someone says something like 'hey, how about i buy it for <insert insanely low price here> and free shipping'

I just had a Hughes DirecTivo there and someone emailed me saying he would pay $150 shipped for it right now. It sold last night for $390.00 plus $20 shipping. Damn, it is used 18 months old and it originally cost me $99 shipped. I feel bad. ;)

Now that I think of it maybe this should be in brag and moan?

I sold a proprietary socket 7 motherboard on ebay one time, I took pictures of everything and described it in detail. Well one day I get an email from Ebay saying that my account has been terminated as my item did not match the item description, I never heard one thing from the buyer, nor was I given an opportunity to refute, I was just banned. I dont like to deal with ebay, but sometimes it is the way to get the best price for an item (when selling) because hardly anyone on ebay knows how to find a good price elsewhere online.

I've gotten enough feedback, that I don't leave any unless the buyer has left me feedback, of the few times I've gotten burned on feedback it's always happened after I left positive feedback first, the threat of leaving them bad feedback seems to be pretty decent leverage.

*heh* I remember I won a bid for a game I REALLY wanted. No one else bid, I got it for the minimum of 2 bucks. I sent the guy 10. I told him it was because I felt bad, and the game was (To me anyways) worth it. Just didnt want to feel like I screwed the guy. I dunno.....It was worth it to me though.

Yeah people get all offended when you have them *pay* for shipping, I mean WTF? I get that and the people who do not read the item description that I do NOT accept credit card Paypal, and say that as a seller I have to accept it. Why on Gods green earth should I take a 2% hit and give them free shipping because they are illiterate?

I have sold alot of items on ebay (well upwards of 100 anyway) and I have come into a few of the same problems listed here but some I have never heard of.....

I generally try to state everything as specifically and clearly as possible in the auction...buy WILL pay shipping, what forms of payment are accepted etc...

so far I have not had any major issues...but there are a few who are rather cheap and give me a hard time about shipping costs.
