Hopefully the winning bidder buys it and rips it apart.

Hopefully the winning bidder finds a way to use it to educate against the type of
ignorance and intolerance that made such a story acceptable in the first place.

Ripping it apart would'nt serve any purpose except to hide that such things went on.
Which makes it that much easier for real racists to claim "it wasn't that bad back then".

How many of you played/sung "Ten Little Indians" as children?

Well said, racists still keep trying to claim the Holocaust never happened despite the massive amount of physical evidence and the accounts of the survivors.

The American school system doesn't help either, by sanitizing books by authors like Twain to avoid "offending" people, even though his books used the language to criticize the racism of his time. Anyone who thinks Tawin was racist should read Puddinhead Wilson or even The Prince and the Pauper.

I also noticed that. I was expecting to see Alabama as the seller's location there for a moment.

Good point ..and Yea I remember the song.

The book has nothing in it that could offend anyone. It's just a picture book with numbers. The seller characterizes the book as "10 little n-word boys and girls". If you're going to tear up the book, you may as well smash your monitor and put your eyes out while you're at it.
