Ebay ... how do I find old auctions?

I want to buy item X.

I know Ebay has an archive of olds sales I can view to see waht item X has gone for in the past.

how do i get to this?
 
Check the "Completed listings" option in the Search Options box on your left side of the screen after you've done a regular search & re-do the search.
 
on the left hand side where you can pick options for searching. like distance and buy it now items. theres also a check box for completed items. check the completed items box off and there ya go!
