ebay GTS prices are insane... 300+$

what a load of suckers, people on ebay are paying over 300$ for GTS cards... even the 320MB version... the 640MB versions go for close to 400$. Insane!

Never underestimate what the eBidiots will pay for used equipment in unknown condition with no ability to return it to the seller. It's insane. If you can find a good card at a hot sale price, might as well buy a bunch and try to sell them on eBay to make a profit.

I don't know if this link will work b/c I was logged in at the time but: Ebay finished auctions

The GTS's that sell seem to be mostly going in the mid 200s

I got 225 cash for mine via a craigslist posting same day, saved me the aggravation of shipping or getting screwed if I went no reserve on ebay.

Well, if I'm under warranty for the item, I'll at least offer a 30 day non-DOA return policy, with buyer paying shipping charges.

I have an EVGA SC on the way for $272 shipped... and I'm also still in Fry's pre-order for a BFG OC for $250 shipped which I'll most likely end up canceling by the end of today. Even I did put that card up on Ebay, after all the Ebay and Paypal fees, there probably wouldn't be that much of a profit.

Edit: LOL I just had to add this - I was looking up 7900GT on Ebay, and I saw one that had a subtitle "frames faster than my 8800GTS" and in the description "This card has served me so well that I hate parting with it. I replaced it with EVGA's 8800GTS superclocker and this card actually frames faster than the new one. " - wow.

OMfg guys, the latest reviews that include OverClocked results show the 8800GT surpassing the 8800GTX when OC'd 😵. The Ti 4200 has a bigger brother and he's out to control the playground.

The sad part is that people beleive that...

And yea the prices on the GTS seem to have dropped some since yesturday... what with everyone and their brother posting their GTS....

But I have seen USED hardware sell for MORE then new hardware in big etailers (like newegg and the like)... Don't ask me how that happens...

EDIT:
http://cgi.ebay.com/nVidia-Gef...VWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Check it out! almost 360$ (shipped) for a 6440MB edition... the GT whoops it!

Hehe, I'm just trying to get a least $250 for mine, hoping for ~$300 so I can buy GT's in a week or two without putting out any extra cash.

DOH!

I should have bought a GT on lauch day before the prices sky rocketed (for 250$ for superclocked, or 230$ regular... that was the price at 6 am) and then sold them on ebay for 100$ profit each!

I bet thats what people did. Bought 20 cards from zipzoomfly, sense thats the maximum one person can buy, then sold them on ebay.

So lets see $279.99 a piece x 20 = $5599.8 total cost. Sell each one for around $350. $50x20 = $1000 profit because the $20 left over is for ebay fees, paypal fees, and maybe anything else.

So for 10 minutes of your time you make $1000.

I wish I'd done that. The only problem is there's no feedback on my Ebay account yet (made it to get an X1950/7900 cheap, waited for G92), so people might not want to buy. But if they're paying $60 over retail, then you never know!
