eBay Gift Card?

Just a suggestion. I think eBay should make gift cards that people could use the same way iTunes has gift cards. You could buy them at you local department store or supermarket. You create an account and the money would be in a PayPal account.

This would solve the problem of people who are afraid to use their credit cards on the internet or don't have credit cards at all.

Also it would be a great gift because you can get almost anything on eBay. Whatever the person likes they can find it on eBay. (I know I'm starting to sound like a commercial here.)

What do you guys think?

I get one for my dad every year for Christmas! He is an Ebay-aholic. It's sort of a running family joke that we hope he bought some cool stuff during the year because we know we will be getting something he bought from Ebay for Christmas.

Well the thing is. Those gift certificates require that you already have PayPal accounts. I'm suggesting that anybody can walk into their local supermarket with cash and come out with cash online.

ebay doesn't want to get into the financial transaction between the buyer and seller. They don't want to spread themselves too thin.
