I sold a motherboard on ebay. Works fine. Dual slot-1, BX, $31 winning bid. I gauranteed non-DOA.

5/9: auciton ends.
5/19: I get an email that he's just installed it and the PS/2 mouse doesn't work. (It did when item was sent.) I apologize, give suggestions to troubleshoot in an email the next day.
5/28: He replies and says it's still not working. I email him the next day and tell him to send it back to me and I'll refund him. No reply.
6/1: I tell him to please send it back within the next week if he's planning on sending it. That gives him a week, and that's up to a month after the original auction ended.
6/8: I get an email that he's been out of town. Wants to know what to do. I give him my mailing address again.
6/16: Emails me again. Says that he'll keep the motherboard if I send him a USB mouse, because he has no ability to get a USB mouse where he is.

.. how long does this go on? What the heck can I do to end this? It's not like I'm trying to shirk responsibility, but how long can this continue? Is there some limit on being able to leave feedback after auctions? I don't feel it's my responsibility to keep dealing with this guy a month and a half after he won the auction.

Next time be more specific on your DOA guarantee. Like, guaranteed for only one week after delivery. Or better yet, no guarantee at all. $31 is NOT worth it.

tell him no and say you'll refund if he sends it back only once you have confirmed the damage does indeed exist.

Shipping is all on him of course...

And don't forget to wait until 89 days 23 hours and 58 minutes to leave feedback on him.

Can't get a USB mouse where he's at? wtf? He was able to get a motherboard...

He must live in West Virginia.
The only thing you can get over there are sisters and cousins.

Well, you can always tell him that you can't get any USB mice either and see what the reaction is from there! 😉

that guy is probably trying to take advantage of you. Stick with your original/personal guidelines and only offer a refund upon confirmation that the mobo is in fact, faulty.
