Ebay fraud question

So I paid $9 for a dvd on May 21 but haven't received it, so I was checking out the site and the feedback for the seller was bleeding red all of a sudden...here is a link:

I'm assuming my money is gone. I paid through paypal on my credit card. Should I go through paypal or my credit card company to try and get my money back? Thanks for any advice.

Go through paypal, at least give it a try first. I would guess you'd get your money back, so many ppl not getting their items, maybe the seller died or something.

go through paypal. i believe by using paypal you waive your rights to perform a chargeback through your credit card. I'm not sure about that but I wouldn't be surprised since paypal is pretty cut throat. I would claim through paypal very soon as you are almost approaching 30 days and you don't know what their requirements are. Usually, they are very quick in protecting the buyer.

I would write it as loss of 9 bucks if the creditcard company wont help consider it a cheap lesson. Good luck with Paypal though.

File a claim thru paypal and if it seems like it's going nowhere, contest the charge (if you used AMEX) or just be happy it was only $9...

Wow, that person still got 92% positive feedback. Perhaps the account was hijacked?
Looks to me like they just went out of business. For less than ethical companies, it's common for them to keep taking orders and payments right until the last day, and then close the doors, file bankruptcy, and those last customers whose orders never got shipped are screwed.

Because you paid with your CC, you should call them as soon as possible to dispute the charge and initiate a chargeback (edit: you can do this with any major CC, not just AMEX). As you never received the product, you should receive your money relatively quickly, and the vendor will get hit with a ~$100 chargeback fee for a $9 sale. Hell of a way to do business...

92% is aweful....

Yet it's a passing grade! An A- at that! 😛

% ratings on feedback are dumb IMO. A person with just one positive has a 100% and if they get a neg it's now 50% lol. (or would it be 0?!!) At least is isn't like the "one awshit wisks away 100 attaboys" we grew up to know so well!

You can have highrollers with tens of thousands of +'s still have 99%+ but be rolling in quite a few negs too.

At least the OP is only out $9. Remember it can always be worse!

Cheers!
