Ebay Fraud Email

I just won a small auction on ebay around 30 minutes ago then get this message:

Email Message

The email address looks legit, however, they mailed it to several people using the same net provider that I do.. Doesn't seem legit, however the link on the bottom to change information looks like a valid ebay url. When I hit the link it said "page not found".

Is this a known hoax or attempt to get CC or account information? How do they get your information to send you this mail???
Thanks

*Looks* Seems VERY un-kosher to me. Don't touch it. Reply to the address (typed in a clean email) to verify if you really want to.

Thanks for the link. I already got a response back from ebay saying they never sent that email and that it is fraud.

Right click and view the source of the html, you will see that ebay.com address likely points to an IP address.

yes it is a fraud but most folks are dumb so they will fall for this trick and get their account hijacked... buhahahahaha

Why would eBay ever require you to "update" your information? And what would updating your information have to do with the situation they describe? Even with the notoriety of eBay scams, you still had to ask this here?

Well, I would never fall for anything like this, and I didn't... It was just odd that I got the email right after winning an auction.
