I just got a Bold 9700 from Tmobile and need a spare battery. I want a quality battery, but not the $70 tmobile wants for one. Anyone have any luck on eBay with batteries? Wast of my time or a nightmare?

I bought a cell phone battery for my wife's cell phone a few years ago when hers died. We replaced the phone a year later and the battery was still going strong. It cost a fraction of the battery from the cell phone maker and seemed to work just as well. If I need another one I'd have no problem buying one off ebay again.

I'd just recommend going with someone with a good rating that sells a ton of batteries. I wouldn't risk it on some guy that's only got a single battery for sale.

i had an 8700 that was starting to have charge problems. bought 1 battery from ebay. couple months later i was having charge problems so i bought a pair of batteries this time. never needed the second battery in that set as the first worked fine till i stopped using the phone. given how cheap you can get the batteries on ebay i'd say go for it.

Just get genuine BB batteries from ebay, which will be less than tmo. I wouldn't trust the copies.

I bought like 3 and they work great. find a seller that's in the US with very good feedback.

search by battery model #.
